 Florida Adventure Guide was founded by Brian Knappe. Brian and the Florida Adventure Guide staff offer exceptional outdoor adventures throughout Southwest Florida. As a Florida native, Brian’s passion began at the local beaches and parks where he hiked, biked, canoed, and swam.This love continued in Southern California where Brian added surfing and scuba diving to his accomplishments. He entered the tour business in 2000 in San Diego where he shared his love of nature by guiding people on hiking, biking and kayaking trips. Brian’s experience includes lifeguarding at county parks, Busch Gardens and 10 years as a San Diego beach lifeguard, where he was nominated for Guard of the Year and featured on a national TV show. Also in San Diego, Brian was the assistant coordinator and instructor for the Junior Lifeguard Program and taught swimming lessons. As an EMT he served on an ambulance crew. Brian also volunteered in schools and with nature groups. Brian is certified as an EMT, CPR, First Aid, Jet Ski Operator, ATV Operator, Open Water Lifeguard, and Main Tower Supervisor.
